Reporting your Machine ID

Machine IDs are unique alphanumeric identifiers that enable your Castaway licence to be provisioned and managed correctly after installation.

Usually, our Customer Success team will be able to identify your machine. However, sometimes this isn't the case and you can speed up the process. The steps are different depending on which email client you use

If you are using New Outlook

1. Open your Castaway software
2. Click on the question mark (?) symbol at the top right hand corner of the application
3. Click on About Castaway
4. Click the 3-dot button to bring up the Licence Details screen
5. Click Copy to Clipboard
6. In your email client, paste the clipboard into an email to [e-mail] and send 

If you are using Classic Outlook (or any other email client)

1. Open your Castaway software
2. Click on the question mark (?) symbol at the top right hand corner of the application 
3. Click on "Report Machine ID"
4. An automated email should be prepared in your default email account, where the [e-mail] is the recipient
5. Press send
