How to: Remove widget borders when publishing reports to PDF

When you print Castaway dashboards to PDF and then view them in, say, Acrobat reader, unwanted borders will sometimes appear around the widgets. This can happen even when you deselect the "Show Border" option in Reporting > Design > Graph Settings.

These mysterious borders appear because of a Rendering setting in Adobe Acrobat. To remove them:

• in Adobe Acrobat, go to Preferences > Page Display
• in the Rendering settings, deselect both the Smooth images & Enhance thin lines options

 

Alternatively, you could use a different PDF reader or choose a web browser like Microsoft Edge to view your PDF report.
