INTEGRATIONS: Exporting to Fathom

Fathom (www.fathomhq.com), is one of the most interesting analysis tools available in the market today.

We’ve worked with the Fathom team to make it easy to export data from Castaway to a csv file that is ready for importing into Fathom so you’ll spend less time crunching the numbers and more time analysing them.

Export the CSV file from Castaway

To export the CSV file from Castaway:

1. Go to File> Export > Fathom
2. Choose the data type (Projected, Original Budget or Revised Budget) from the Export type drop down
3. Select the data period you want
4. Click Export and save the file.

 

Importing projected (Financials) to Fathom

 Go to https://app.fathomhq.com/my-companies and click on Add A Company and select Excel

 

Click on Choose a file to upload and select the projected data file that you have already extracted from Castaway.

 

To upload your Budget or revised budget to your existing company file, go to  https://app.fathomhq.com/my-companies and click on Setup and under the budget heading click on Add a Budget

 

 

Click on Choose a File to upload and select the budget or revised budget file that you exported from Castaway.

Tip: For Fathom to recognize your budget, the word Budget needs to be added to Cell B2 of your excel file. Save the file before uploading it to Fathom.

 

To update your existing Financials (projected) in Fathom, go to set up again and choose Update from excel under financials heading and click on choose a file to upload and select your updated CSV file.

 

To update your existing Budget data go to set up again and choose Update from excel under Budgets heading and click on choose a file to upload and select your updated CSV file.
