Xero Connection Failure message
Failed to connect to 'Xero'. Please reconnect to 'Xero' by clicking the 'Connect' Button.
The problem is caused by the Xero file you are connecting to having the Organisation type set to "INDIVIDUAL"
If you're trying to connect to Xero and you receive the above error, we have 2 solutions available to you:
1. Short term solution
In the Xero file you are trying to connect to, open Settings > Organisation Details
Please change Organisation Type so it is no longer Individual, sole trader might be a good alternative (you can change it back after connecting to Xero but will experience this issue next time you try to connect).
2. Permanent Solution
This may require the assistance of your IT professional.
There are 2 files attached to this article, please download them.
Find the Castaway installation files, the default path is C:\Program Files\Financier Software Pty Ltd\Castaway, though you may have elected to install it elsewhere
Once there please delete the following 2 files:
Xero.NetStandard.OAuth2.dll
Xero.NetStandard.OAuth2Client.dll
and replace with those downloaded from this article.
We will roll out a fix for this in a future upgrade file, please contact support if you continue to have problems..
