UPDATE 5 September 2022
Status: We are talking to the Intuit team and have submitted extensive documentation. However, there is still no resolution to report yet.
Stay up to date: If you are affected by this issue, please let us know ASAP. Email us at support@castawayforecasting.com ... we will reach out to you directly and also add you to the list of affected users.
Help, I need to update Actuals from Quickbooks: To bring Actuals data into Castaway from Quickbooks right now, you have 2 options:
- Manual entry (go to Forecast > Opening & Actuals and key the actuals data into the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Drivers tabs as required)
- Import via the Excel integration
We expect this issue to be resolved shortly, so recommend manual entry as the most practical, time-effective solution. If you would prefer to import via Excel, please contact us for detailed assistance.
I'm not happy: We understand this is frustrating. We're frustrated too. If you want to express your frustration (or anything else for that matter!), contact me direct on ceo@castawayforecasting.com).
Please do not vent to my team ... they are doing all they can to help you.

UPDATE 1 September 2022
A user has reported receiving the following message when attempting to integrate with QuickBooks:
The message text reads:
"Unable to connect Castaway. This app no longer meets our guidelines and standards. It's no longer available and you can't connect to it. Reach out to the app developer for support"
We have a number of resources attempting to resolve this issue with Intuit. We are working on a resolution as a matter of urgency.
It is still possible to bring in your QuickBooks data to Castaway by using our Excel Integration process. You can also refer to our Quick Start Guide HERE. We recommend using the Excel integration until we can resolve the issue with QuickBooks and Intuit.
Should you require any assistance with this process, please reach out to our Customer Success Team via email: support@castawayforecasting.com
We will update this page as information becomes available.
