One of the great features of Castaway's dashboards is that you can add images in jpeg or png form onto any dashboard. This opens up plenty of options for telling the story of the business your way.
But, what happens when you no longer need that image in Castaway? Large images take up space, so it is good practice to remove any images you are not using.
EARLIER VERSIONS
For versions earlier than Castaway 2020, there was no 'Remove Image' function available.
When the Castaway file was opened, we stored those images in a Temp file that you could find easily in Windows Explorer. The filepath would have been something like: C > Users > {UserName} > AppData > Local > Temp > Castaway > {FolderName}. The folder names look like random strings of 32 digits. The date modified column will help you find the right folder.
Inside the folder are one or more files that contain the images. If you have more than one image, you might need to open each file in a suitable program like Internet Explorer, Notepad or Paint to identify which is which.
Once you have identified the correct image, simply delete it from the folder in Windows Explorer.
